ABOUT ellen zimmerman

For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed learning.

My appetite for knowledge was inherited from my father who shared his appreciation for nature, history and mechanical abilities, and my mother who shared her vast knowledge about literally any topic. This hunger for knowledge motivated me to earn a PhD in Learning Technologies, a Master’s in Educational Technology Leadership, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Teaching Human Resource and leadership courses at Lamar University provides me with the opportunity to stay current on new concepts and applications and collaborate with others.

Through my love of learning, I have earned numerous credentials including a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) from the International Coaching Federation, a Board Certified Coach credential through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE), Fierce Conversations Facilitator, Everything DiSC, Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, and I am one of a limited number of internationally credentialed Certified Dare to Lead (TM) Facilitators.

I have always challenged the status quo with new ways of thinking, and I encourage others to do the same. I am a passionate and energetic executive coach, keynote speaker, and professional development trainer who believes in cultivating results through a people-oriented approach that emphasizes personal and organizational values. 

Because I have seen the value of coaching, I was the initial Vice President of the Texas Coaches Coalition from 2020-2023. Recently, I was also selected to be a Co-Leader for the International Coaching Federation’s Executive Leadership Community of Practice, which provides coaches with the opportunity to earn Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units by participating in relevant and diverse professional development sessions. 

As an executive coach, professional trainer, and facilitator I have a broad range of experience working with organizations worldwide to develop customized learning programs with a focus on the areas that matter most; leadership, communications, human relations, and strategic direction. I support the success of individuals and teams through executive and group coaching engagements that are often coordinated with training and facilitation for a strategic sense of direction.
